Our Club started over 50 years ago and has progressed steadily to what is on offer today.

We have a programme of speakers, competitions, workshops and excursions which start in September and run until the end of May.

Our workshops range from pin hole photography to portrait photography and image enhancement utilising computer applications.

We meet on Monday evenings and start at 7.30 pm promptly, break for refreshments at 8:30 and finish by 10 pm.

You are welcome to come along for a couple of sessions for free to see if our club is for you.

Just simply turn up and say hello ( it's advisable to check with our Program dates and events to choose an evenings activity first ).

Our membership is currently just £40 for the season, although excursions may carry some additional cost to cover transport.

Members are graded as Advanced, Intermediate or Beginners, depending on their photographic ability.

We hold our own internal competitions consisting of four rounds of Print and Projected Digital Image (PDI) each season.

All members can submit images to each internal competition for judging by an independent external judge.

Of course, you don’t have to enter competitions at all - you may just like to hear the judges critiquing of members  work,  but there is nothing like the excitement of putting in your own images!

In addition to the internal competition between members, we also enjoy the challenges of competing against other clubs, both locally and within the Southern Counties Photographic Federation ( SCPF).

Through the SCPF we are affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.

We have a very active committee who meet throughout the year.

At the end of the season in May, the winners of our internal competitions receive Awards and Trophies.

In addition there are awards for members who have made the best progress in both Prints and PDI during the season.

The President also makes a personal choice award for Exceptional Contribution to the Club.
