PRINT MOUNTING FOR IN HOUSE COMPETITIONS

Prints may be home or trade processed and all prints must be mounted on suitable board for competitions. Beginners prints are limited to a maximum size of A4 (210 x 297mm) and prints for all grades should be presented on mounts no larger than 50x40cm. The title of the print and the photographers name should be on the back of the mount in the top left hand corner.

Particular care should be taken in the use of glues or tapes when mounting so as not to leave a sticky residue which may damage other prints. If you have any questions regarding mounting, please ask one of the committee members and they can help.

Sticky labels for both types are supplied in your members pack, but if you wish to print your own, they are equivalent to Avery codes L7165 & J8165.

After speaking to another club member, it is recommended to use craft tape or self adhesive Artist tape (links below). Also, when you initially place the print on the back of the cutout face down, only tape the top of the print. You then add the backing plate (or preferably a piece of card larger than the print) and tape all the way round. Hope that helps.

Also, please ignore the title stating 2023-24 season, the instructions are suitable for future seasons.
